What is better than cheap absolutely normal coffee?
Only a few things, perhaps.
I like simplicity. I find it beautiful, what others might call “clean”. Basic clothes, that simple yet meaningful essence that makes Uniqlo such a good brand. Or the massive, basic format of Lager 157 that you recognise the moment you walk in.
I remember visiting a Normal store some time ago and getting an impression of how much sense these stores will make soon — when the economy may require more personal-finance-conscious choices alongside an already established consumption culture. I got the same impression at Lager 157.
Some time later I noticed another sign: both KFC and Burger King were promoting cheaper lunches. I do not yet know whether this is a sign of macroeconomic decline or some smart marketing strategy — but you better keep your finances under control.
And this one was delicious.
